Responsibilities
Actively support the Company’s commitment to safety and its “Core Values.”
Represent the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company’s “Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.”
Prepare, obtain approval, issue and implement company quality control (assurance) program manual in compliance with owner contract and company requirements
As required by the quality control program manual, perform activities such as audits, preparation of company standards, notification to management of quality problems, etc
Perform inspections and witness tests as required
Ensure company standards as outlined in quality control (assurance) manual are effectively implemented
Insure adequate corrective measures are implemented in cases of noncompliance
Responsible for supervising all inspection activities
Review and accept subcontractors Nondestructive Examination (NDE) procedures and NDE operators’ qualifications prior to commencement of work
Required to abide by all project safe work practices and programs
Discuss discrepancies with production supervisory personnel and production will issue corrective instructions to the workforce
Prepares and maintains project weld map and quality control documentation
Assure that all the requirements of the project specifications have been documented
Qualification
Required
6+ years quality control (quality assurance) experience in the field required
Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required
Thorough working knowledge of regulatory agency quality assurance and quality control activities
Experience must have been on similar facilities under construction
Proven ability to supervise personnel and excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Thorough understanding of industry practices, codes and standards
Good communications and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize performance
Computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel, Bluebeam
Preferred
Advanced degree or training is desirable
Certification in API, plus working knowledge of ASME SEC. V, VIII, IX, B31.1, B31.3, is a plus
Knowledge of API 1104, Standard for Welding Pipeline and Related Structures
