National Sales Manager
Team San Jose is seeking a National Sales Manager responsible for booking self-contained and citywide groups through strategic planning and direct selling. The role involves achieving revenue goals, managing accounts, and maintaining relationships with hotel partners.

Responsibilities
Responsible for sales, booking and contracting for specified target markets through strategic planning, development, and direct selling within target market
Responsible for achieving or exceeding the room night and revenue goals within target market
Review action plans with the Director of Sales on a quarterly basis, or as necessary
Review, plan and attend tradeshows & events assigned to ensure market penetration
Attend and participate in sales training as necessary
Serve as a City Ambassador at required functions attended locally, regionally and nationally
Update, audit, and manage accounts as necessary within sales systems
Document all important communication and activities in sales systems with understanding of monthly standards for calls, customer entertainment, and outside activities
Coordinate and conduct site inspections as necessary
Work with other sales managers as needed to assist with booking groups of all sizes
Meet weekly or as needed with Director of Sales to review goals and provide update on activities
Maintain cooperative, positive relationships with Hotel partners
Meet as needed with hotel partners and provide updates on groups and sales activities
Participate in all necessary internal and external meetings (via teleconference if working remotely)
Understand and use all sales systems
Drive own vehicle for business purposes as needed
Qualification
Preferred
Minimum of 5 years sales experience preferred, selling large hotel, convention center complex, CVB and/or City wide sales
Strong knowledge of Northeast corporate and association business preferred
College degree preferred
CMP and/or other industry designations desired
Enthusiastic, dependable, positive team player
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Strong organizational and time management skills with close attention to detail
Ability to work independently, problem-solve and take initiative
Travel required based on territory and business demands
