Responsibilities

Assist the Program Manager in the day-to-day management of the program
Coordinate and oversee project activities, ensuring they align with program goals and objectives
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans
Monitor program performance and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure project success
Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including DoD clients, subcontractors, and team members
Support the development and execution of risk management plans
Prepare and present program status reports and briefings to senior management and DoD clients
Ensure compliance with DoD regulations, policies, and procedures
Foster a collaborative and productive work environment within the program team

Required

Bachelor's degree plus 8--12 years of experience in the defense industry
Active Secret security clearance
Proven experience in production and fielding test and support equipment development and operations and maintenance
Strong technical background, with knowledge of engineering and manufacturing principles
Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage complex projects, multitask, and prioritize effectively
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team of professionals
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Experience in risk management, including the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks to the project
Experience working with government contracts and regulations
Must be a resident of Huntsville, AL or willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area

Preferred

Experience working on a radar program
Deep understanding of defense acquisition process
Background in engineering
