Responsibilities

Review analyses and designs; and investigate and develop appropriate recommendations regarding assigned Engineering project
Serve as Project Manager or Technical Advisor on small-to-medium projects in area of expertise
Evaluate and administer contracts with vendors for the provision of services
Collaborate in site strategic planning and budgeting efforts for designated Engineering areas
Assist in the development and evaluation of Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) for capital funding
Perform other duties as required

Required

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related Engineering discipline from an accredited curriculum and three (3) years of experience in an applicable Engineering field of expertise, OR
Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related Engineering discipline from an accredited curriculum and two (2) years of experience in an applicable Engineering field of expertise
Knowledge in the principles and practices of Civil, Geotechnical, Structural or Hydrologic Engineering or a related field of Science or Engineering
Knowledge of appropriate software (MS Office, AutoCAD, RISA 3D)
Certified Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or equivalent
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing to a diversely educated audience
Present a positive, professional image
Self-motivated, energetic, able to execute, and client-service oriented
Be able to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure
Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety of yourself and others
Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards

Preferred

Serve as Project Manager, Technical Advisor on small construction or expansive projects at site
Master's Degree in Civil Engineering with Hydrologic, Hydraulic, Geotechnical or Water/Wastewater Engineering specialization
Experience with metal mining design and/or operations, especially with tailings storage facilities(dams), water dams and/or crushed leach stockpiles
Education/experience with water management, process design or water/waste water treatment
Able to research and analyze information and draw valid conclusions
Good interpersonal as well as written and oral communication skills with diverse teams of technical and non-technical staff
Be able to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure
Experience with related engineering software (AutoCAD), programming languages, GoldSim, ArcGIS
