They are seeking a data-driven, systems-minded Director of Collections to lead and improve their resident delinquency function while building a centralized client receivables capability.

Responsibilities

Own company-wide delinquency and receivables strategy and results across single-family, multi-family, and institutional portfolios
Own delinquency and receivables KPIs, including delinquency rate, recovery rates, eviction cycle time, and timely, predictable client cash realization
Hire, lead, and scale high-performing collections teams across resident delinquency and client receivables, driving consistent execution and accountability
Select, manage, and hold external eviction and collections counsel accountable for outcomes related to resident and owner balances
Partner with Property Management, Accounting, Resident Services, Legal, and regional leadership to align delinquency and receivables operations with company goals
Build and own delinquency and receivables workflows, tooling decisions, data, and performance reporting, ensuring teams measure what matters and act on it
Lead escalation and resolution of complex or high-risk cases, stepping in directly when needed
Provide clear, actionable insights on delinquency and receivables performance to the COO and executive leadership, ensuring client-facing teams are equipped with timely, accurate information

Required

5–8 years of experience in property management, collections, receivables, or related operations, with direct ownership of delinquency or cash recovery outcomes
2+ years of people leadership experience, including hiring and managing performance to clear KPIs
Hands-on experience with residential delinquency, rent collections, and eviction processes across single-family or multi-family portfolios
Proven ability to build or improve systems or processes that measurably increase collection rates, recovery, or speed to resolution
Strong command of data and reporting, using spreadsheets or BI tools to monitor performance and drive decisions
Sound judgment in high-conflict situations, including escalation management and policy enforcement
Clear written and verbal communication skills, including performance reporting for senior leaders or institutional audiences
Bachelor's degree required. Equivalent experience considered
