Responsibilities
Supervise daily laboratory operations related to engine testing and analysis, ensuring compliance with CFR standards and internal protocols
Coordinate and execute complex engine tests, including setup, calibration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of test equipment
Analyze test data, prepare detailed reports, and communicate findings to engineering and regulatory teams
Train, mentor, and provide technical support to junior technicians and laboratory staff to maintain high-quality performance
Maintain laboratory equipment, ensure safety compliance, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize testing processes
Qualification
Required
Associate degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related technical field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in engine testing or laboratory technician roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity
Strong knowledge of CFR regulations related to engine testing and emissions standards
Proficiency in operating and maintaining engine test cells and associated diagnostic equipment
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
Experience with advanced engine diagnostic software and data acquisition systems
Certification in laboratory safety and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 17025)
Familiarity with emissions testing protocols and environmental regulations
Demonstrated leadership experience in a technical laboratory environment
