Responsibilities
Develop complete material, cut, part, paint, and shipping lists to support efficient fabrication and production planning
Work with engineers, architects, and internal teams to interpret designs and ensure they meet project, safety, and client-specific requirements
Ensure all drawings and details comply with industry standards and building codes while maintaining accuracy in measurements, materials, and weld specifications
Collaborate with project managers, fabricators, and installers to meet schedules, communicate changes, and resolve design or field issues
Maintain organized drawing records and prepare technical submittals, including as-built drawings and material take-offs, for approvals and audits
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CADD software
Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication, including cutting, welding, and assembly
Experience producing accurate, detailed shop and fabrication drawings
Ability to solve design challenges related to manufacturability and structural integrity
2+ years of experience in structural steel drafting within the material handling industry
Preferred
Associate degree or certification in Computer-Aided Drafting, Design, or Structural Engineering
