Engineering Technician

The Engineering Technician is responsible for performing thermal spray applications and testing, acting as a crucial link between engineering design and application.

Responsibilities
Conduct experimental and test thermal spray applications, in accordance with engineering and project specifications
Set up and operate a variety of thermal spray equipment, including manual and automated systems
Perform destructive and non-destructive testing (NDT) on test coupons and collect test data in an organized manner for reporting
Prepare and process materials for testing, which may include using cutting, forming, and abrasive blasting techniques
Maintain the organization, cleanliness, and safety of the lab and test booth environments
Work closely with engineers and supervisors to plan and execute project effectively
Communicate findings and project progress to the team, contributing to continuous process improvement efforts
Record test results and write reports, adhering to standard formats
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED is the minimum
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and applicable codes (e.g., AWS, ASME)
Preferred
An associate's degree in a related field, such as welding technology or engineering technology, is often preferred
Proven hands-on experience with industrial equipment and/or lab analysis technology is preferred
Demonstrated organizational skills and competency in Excel and Word for data collection and reporting
