Strategic Planning Officer

Responsibilities

Leading the Command in the strategic planning required to: determine and communicate the Area Commander's long-term resource requirements to inform the service's Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPB&E) process
Developing the Commander's strategic planning documents
Informing the allocation of operational resources and assets in support of the Commander's Strategic Intent
Overseeing the implementation of the strategy and measures performance against desired strategic outcomes
Supervising the Division's Branch Chiefs and serves as the acting Division Chief in his/her absence

Required

Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be registered or exempt from the Selective Service
A one-year probationary period may be required

This position requires a Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance
Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by the closing date of the vacancy

Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the federal sector
Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
Submit a copy of your college transcript (unofficial is acceptable) from an accredited institution
If you are qualifying based in whole or part on education, you are required to provide all unofficial transcripts by the closing date of this announcement
If course content cannot be easily identified from the title of the course as listed on your transcript, you must submit an official course description from the college/university that reflects the content at the time the course was taken
Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet Federal qualification requirements if you can show that your foreign education is comparable to education received in accredited educational institutions in the United States
You must submit evidence of equivalency as provided by a credentialing evaluation service
Failure to provide all of the required information as stated in this vacancy announcement may result in an ineligible rating or may affect the overall rating
