Atlantic Group is hiring a Fund Accountant (Alternative Investments) in New York, NY for our client. In this hybrid role, you will support fund accounting and cash activity across alternative investment vehicles, including capital calls, subscriptions, distributions, and trading-related payments.

Responsibilities

Process wire activity, capital calls, subscriptions, distributions, redemptions, and trading-related cash movements
Record, review, and reconcile daily and monthly cash and bank activity and support month-end close deliverables and analysis
Review invoices, ensure accurate allocation, and prepare items for payment processing in accordance with fund structures
Assist with audit and tax deliverables, including the preparation of schedules, workpapers, and supporting documentation
Partner with Operations, Tax, and Investment teams to ensure data integrity while building Excel-based tools and supporting process improvements

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field required
3-6 years of accounting experience within fund administration, investment management, or an institutional investment environment, with direct exposure to investment funds
Working knowledge of alternative investment structures such as private equity and hedge funds, including capital activity and cash flows
Strong Excel proficiency required
Highly detail-oriented professional with strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work independently
Interest in process improvement, systems thinking, and technology-enabled solutions

Preferred

Experience using fund accounting platforms such as Investran or similar systems preferred
Broader asset class exposure a plus
