Responsibilities
Performs inpatient and outpatient pacemaker and implantable defibrillator (ICD) evaluations
Coordinates trans telephonic device remote monitoring
Coordinates inpatient and outpatient device evaluation / consults
Updates device clinic computer database
Primary contact person for patient calls / questions related to their device
Development and distribution of device-related educational materials for patients and their families during the pre and post-operative phases of device implantation
Works with the manufacturer to assure devices/implants being replaced due to a recall, defect, or mechanical complication is being provided to Adena at no cost and there is no subsequent charge to the patient/patient’s insurance
Qualification
Required
Associate's Degree
Nursing/ Healthcare/Science
RN - Registered Nurse with Current Ohio License
Cardiac Rhythm Management Certification, or Bachelor's degree
De-escalation training within 6 months
3-5 years' experience conducting device interrogations
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
