This role focuses on oversight and validation of third-party security tools, ensuring proper stewardship, governance, and operational integrity without direct tool configuration.

Responsibilities
Monitor and validate security tools (Splunk, CrowdStrike, SailPoint) managed by Optum to ensure compliance and proper usage
Conduct daily risk assessments and internal reviews to identify gaps and inconsistencies
Work closely with Optum’s technical team (~35 members) and internal stakeholders (3-person team) to align security strategy and execution
Qualification
Required
Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (Splunk preferred)
Familiarity with CrowdStrike, SailPoint
Active CISSP, CEH, CCSP, Security+, or CISM security certification
Preferred
Exposure to Microsoft Copilot or other AI tools
Experience working with outsourced vendor teams
