Vice President of Sales
Rhino Pumps is a fast-growing, multi-state industrial pump sales, service, and repair company. They are seeking a Vice President of Sales to lead the sales organization, focusing on building a high-performance sales engine and driving revenue growth through effective strategy and talent development.

Responsibilities
Own company-wide sales performance and execution
Develop and implement scalable sales systems, processes, and playbooks
Design and manage territory strategy and regional expansion plans
Partner with executive leadership to align sales strategy with company growth goals
Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop outside and inside sales teams
Build a culture of accountability, motivation, and continuous improvement
Conduct regular 1:1 coaching with sales representatives
Identify individual rep strengths and deficiencies and create improvement plans
Lead performance management, including corrective action when necessary
Build and own Rhino Pumps’ sales training program (“Rhino University – Sales”)
Create standardized onboarding for new sales hires
Train reps on: Territory planning and account penetration, Consultative selling in industrial environments, Quoting discipline and gross margin protection, Pipeline management and forecasting, Objection handling and closing strategies
Conduct regular ride-alongs and in-field coaching
Define and manage sales KPIs, including: Revenue performance, Gross margin, Pipeline coverage, Activity metrics, Rep productivity and ramp time
Build and maintain dashboards and forecasting models
Hold sales team accountable to consistent CRM usage and reporting
Deliver regular performance updates to executive leadership
Lead sales readiness for new regional expansions
Hire and train sales teams for new territories
Coordinate with operations to ensure successful market entry
Actively support early customer development in new regions
Work closely with Operations to ensure sales commitments align with execution capabilities
Partner with Marketing on messaging, lead generation, and brand presence
Collaborate with leadership on pricing strategy and profitability targets
25–40% travel required
Regular ride-alongs with sales representatives
Travel to new and existing territories for hiring, training, and coaching
Qualification
Required
10+ years of B2B industrial sales experience
5+ years in a senior sales leadership role (Director or VP level)
Proven experience building and leading multi-territory sales teams
Experience in industrial services, equipment, manufacturing, or related fields
Strong understanding of gross margin management and pricing discipline
Demonstrated ability to coach, motivate, and develop sales professionals
Comfortable operating in a fast-growth, entrepreneurial environment
