Responsibilities
Oversee corporate finance, inclusive of financial strategy, budget generation and management, monthly financial close, financial forecast planning, and accounts receivable/payable management
Produce monthly variance analysis reports, comparing actual financial metrics to budget, working with departments to reconcile variances, and highlighting the drivers behind key variances
Manage team responsible for day-to-day finance and accounting operations
Oversee and administer organization’s ERP platform, serving as the secondary approver for journal entries, bills, and financial activities
Create financial models to forecast the impact of different decisions, including calculation of Net Present Values
Oversee tax preparation and corporate filing activities (not related to pharmacy licensure)
Oversee banking activity practices and decisions
Oversee participation in required and elective audits
Oversee organization payroll practices, including bi-weekly review of payroll files before submission
Manage equity accounts associated with entities, including reporting for partner accounts, provision of reconciliation reports, replenishment requests, and transaction support as necessary
Manage RareMed’s corporate insurance portfolio
Oversee the security of RareMed financial data
Support departmental leaders in making financial decisions by providing financial parameters, guidelines, analysis, and context
Serve as the primary administrator of RareMed’s retirement plan
Collaborate with HR in supporting the financial impact of personnel decisions
Oversee management of finance-related policies and procedures
Provide finance-related support to RareMed’s sister organizations as requested by ownership
Develop, manage, and oversee monthly reporting on organization and departmental goals
Provide strategic guidance and support to key executives regarding finance topics
Serve as the leader of the finance department, managing team-related decisions, including goal setting, time management, performance management, career development, hiring, and employee relations
Serve as an ambassador of RareMed’s culture both inside and outside of the business operations team

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a related field
5+ years of experience in a finance, accounting, or healthcare leadership role required
Demonstrable leadership skills, indicative of managing a cross-functional team with a variety of skill sets
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to exercise independent judgment in real time in complex situations
Ability to manage dynamic deliverables in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Advanced degree or certification in business, accounting, or organizational management preferred
Strategic-level knowledge of corporate finance practices
Strategic-level knowledge of healthcare business landscape
Experience using Microsoft PowerPoint
