Human Resources Director – Remote (supporting MA, RI, CT and CA operations)

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures aligned with company values
Serve as a trusted HR partner to ownership, leadership, and salon management
Manage employee relations, including performance management, retention strategies, investigations, conflict resolution
Oversee recruitment, hiring, and onboarding for salon and corporate roles
Support training, development, and career growth initiatives for employees and managers
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across MA, NH, RI and Ca law
Administer employee benefits and act as a resource for employee questions
Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
Track HR metrics and recommend improvements to processes and programs

Required

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
10+ years of HR experience, preferably in multi-location, retail, hospitality, or service environments, Franchise experience a plus
Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
Organized, hands-on, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
Clear experience managing a team that includes a Generalist, Recruiter and an HR Administrator

Preferred

HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP)
ACA Management/Open enrollment experience
401K administration experience
ADA exposure
