Hardware Engineer I

Scalence L.L.C. is seeking a Hardware Engineer I to make technical contributions under the scope of medium-scale design or design validation projects. The role involves implementing, testing, maintaining, and contributing to the design of multiple subsystems while assisting in developing hardware designs and preparing various documentation.

Responsibilities

Analyze performance or requirements of complex or constrained hardware components with minimal guidance. Use industry-appropriate tools to develop and optimize hardware component designs against requirements, acknowledging and considering cross-functional design constraints
Document hardware design, its implementation, or test/validation results throughout the product life cycle with minimal guidance
Identify flaws and issues with hardware components. Analyze key issues, risks, or trade-offs, and address common hardware failures by identifying corrective solutions
Review hardware designs, such as block diagrams, schematics, layouts, BOM, algorithms, protocols, and link budgets, to help anticipate and address issues/risks. Evaluate hardware performance and help identify causes of deviation from prediction. Help identify test discrepancies. Perform measurements/simulations to validate design specifications with minimal guidance. Suggest design improvements
