Responsibilities
Lead the finance team responsible for investor reporting, fund agreement compliance, management and financial reporting, and performance measurement
Review financial statements, partner allocations, capital account statements, and performance reporting prepared by junior team members
Oversee preparation of SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K) and Board-level reporting
Lead the capital call process, including analytical and reasonableness reviews
Review fee calculations and investor distributions
Review and approve journal entries, cash movements, and monthly/quarterly close workpapers
Review valuation memoranda, escalate issues to senior leadership, and assist with remediation efforts
Coordinate with Corporate Controllers on monthly and quarterly corporate reporting
Track and oversee complex fee-sharing and expense allocation arrangements across funds, platforms, and the firm
Oversee financial reporting received from underlying platforms to ensure adherence to firm-wide standards, including data delivery for internal fund hand-off processes
Partner cross-functionally with Legal, Tax, Compliance, Corporate Controllers, and Investment teams on ad hoc initiatives
Assist with SOX compliance, including internal controls testing and coordination with internal audit
Review and approve accounts payable and receivable activity attributable to funds and platforms
Work with internal and external tax advisors on investor- and entity-level tax reporting
Support fund restructurings, financings, and strategic initiatives alongside Investment, Legal, and Tax teams
Liaise with Marketing and Investor Relations teams on quarterly reporting and investor requests
Provide ongoing support to the Fund CFO and Senior Controller
Qualification
Required
CPA required; public and/or private accounting experience strongly preferred (Big 4 experience a plus)
10+ years of experience within investment management, with deep exposure to Private Credit, lending platforms, partnership/fund accounting, and financial reporting
Prior experience with credit funds, CLOs, credit hedge funds, or financial services organizations
Strong background in evaluating and improving accounting processes, controls, and workflows
Proven leadership experience with a track record of building, coaching, and developing high-performing teams
Strong analytical skills with the ability to operate at both a strategic and detailed level
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present concise, summarized insights to senior leadership
Advanced U.S. GAAP technical accounting expertise
High ethical standards, strong judgment, and a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset
Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Demonstrated ability to independently own initiatives and drive them through completion
Preferred
Experience with complex fund structures and multi-jurisdictional reporting and filing requirements highly preferred
