Responsibilities
Working directly with our team to learn about insurance regulatory and legal requirements in a global, publicly traded company
Hands-on experience within Legal & Compliance operations with opportunities to review legal documents
Completing 'real world' work deliverables for special projects
Providing multi-faceted, cross-functional exposure within Legal & Compliance departments of Markel
Executing actual work deliverables and contributing toward team goals
Qualification
Required
1st or 2nd year law school student
Excellent academic credentials (GPA 3.0 or above)
Demonstrated leadership abilities and analytical skills
Computer proficiency
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Property and casualty insurance market interest
US Work Authorization required
Preferred
Insurance, legal or document drafting experience preferred, but not required
