The Accounting Associate-Accounts Receivable is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounts receivable function and providing support to the Accounting Manager and Cost Accountant, requiring strong attention to detail and the ability to manage recurring responsibilities independently.

Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end accounts receivable process, including invoicing, cash application, and customer account maintenance
Maintain accurate A/R aging schedules and follow up consistently on past-due balances
Communicate professionally and persistently with customers to resolve payment issues
Review customer accounts and exercise judgement in releasing orders once credit issues have been resolved
Provide timely and accurate customer credit references
Maintain complete and well-documented customer account records
Assist with inventory data entry related to physical inventory counts
Support bank and balance sheet reconciliations
Provide back-up support for accounts payable to ensure continuity during absences
Assist with month-end close activities and recurring accounting tasks
Support special projects requiring accuracy, discretion, and follow-through
Qualification
Required
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field OR 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting support experience
Working knowledge of accounts receivable and general accounting principles
Ability to manage routine, deadline-driven work independently
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and internal teams
