NOW CFO is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to play a key role in their financial operations. This position involves managing reconciliations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and assisting with month-end closing processes.

Accounting

Responsibilities

Support monthly financial close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting
Oversee the preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy
Analyze financial data, identifying and resolving discrepancies
Supervise accounting functions related to accounts payable, receivables, billing, and procurement
Generate and deliver financial reports to senior leadership
Manage weekly payment processing and vendor invoicing
Handle sales tax filings and ensure compliance with state regulations
Assist with external audits, including preparing documentation and coordinating with auditors
Review work papers for tax filings and verify compliance
Ensure adequate insurance coverage and assist with audits as needed

Required

A minimum of five years of accounting experience (experience in public accounting or construction is a plus)

A hands-on approach and willingness to take on diverse accounting responsibilities
Strong communication and leadership skills to collaborate with various departments
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
