Responsibilities
Develop production-grade, high-performance code in Go to create custom Kubernetes Operators and Controllers that automate the lifecycle of AI resources at scale
Design intuitive APIs and microservices that abstract complex infrastructure details, making powerful GPU clusters accessible to AI practitioners and engineers
Architect features for multi-cluster management , topology-aware scheduling , resource isolation , and optimized placement for GPU/NVLink-heavy workloads
Collaborate with systems/kernel/hardware specialists to expose advanced capabilities (e.g., Blackwell GPUs, high-bandwidth NICs, NVLink domains) directly to the orchestration layer
Deliver comprehensive unit, integration, and e2e testing to ensure rock-solid reliability and performance under extreme loads
Contribute to product requirements (PRDs), technical roadmaps, sprint planning, and cross-team execution
Help cultivate a collaborative, humble, and innovation-driven engineering culture focused on delivering exceptional products
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical field
3+ years of professional software engineering experience, with significant focus on distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, or large-scale orchestration platforms
Strong expertise in Go (Golang) or C/C++ for systems-level development
Deep proficiency in data structures, algorithms, and effective software design patterns
Proven hands-on experience customizing or extending Kubernetes (e.g., building custom controllers, Operators, CRDs, or API aggregation)
Preferred
Master's or PhD in a relevant technical discipline
Contributions to upstream Kubernetes or other CNCF projects
In-depth understanding of Kubernetes internals (scheduler, kubelet, etcd, CNI networking, control plane)
Experience with bare-metal cluster provisioning or orchestration tools (e.g., Cluster API, Tinkerbell, Metal³)
Knowledge of OCI standards, container runtimes (containerd, CRI-O), and Linux kernel primitives (eBPF, cgroups, etc.)
