Head of Finance and Fund Operations, Private Equity Independent Sponsor
Venture Equities is building a disciplined private equity independent sponsor platform focused on deal by deal SPVs, special situations, and private credit. They are seeking a senior finance operator to own fund and SPV finance execution and help install institutional grade processes from the ground up.
Responsibilities
Act as the senior finance lead once a deal is under LOI
Coordinate SPV execution with legal counsel, fund administrators, tax, and audit providers
Oversee capital call mechanics, investor onboarding tracking, allocation accuracy, and close readiness
Design and enforce cash controls, approval workflows, and audit ready processes
Own expense allocation logic, broken deal treatment, and supporting documentation
Establish monthly close cadence and sponsor level reporting packages
Serve as the finance point person for investors and internal stakeholders
Build repeatable templates, policies, and operating playbooks that scale across SPVs
Qualification
Required
Senior experience supporting private equity, credit, or structured investment vehicles
Hands on exposure to SPVs, fund accounting, capital accounts, and investor reporting
Strong judgment around controls, expense allocation, and cash movement
Comfort working with fund administrators without being dependent on them
Ability to operate independently and bring structure to fast moving deals
Clear communicator who can explain numbers and decisions to principals and LPs
Willingness to start fractional and scale scope over time
Preferred
Titles we expect this person may have held before include CFO, VP Finance, Head of Finance, Fund Controller, Director of Finance, or similar senior roles within investment platforms
