Acts as a lead resource for ER Financial Counselors
Coordinates duties to ensure completion/prioritization of function
Performs registration and financial screening of patients to ensure maximum reimbursement for the Health System
Performs QA review of accounts and serves as a trainer and mentor for the Registration staff
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED Required
Minimum of 2 years recent experience, preferably in a registration setting with medical/insurance knowledge
Communication, customer service and interpersonal skills required
Must be multi-task oriented with excellent critical thinking skills
Possess the ability to appropriately handle complexity and stress within the changing needs of the patients families and the Health System
General computer and data entry skills
Ability to problem solve, trouble shoot and operate office equipment (phone, fax, and copier)
Familiar with Medical terminology
