Employee Relations Specialist

RemX | The Workforce Experts is seeking an Employee Relations Specialist to cultivate a positive and inclusive work environment. This role involves addressing workplace concerns, conducting investigations, and ensuring compliance with employment laws while providing guidance on employee relations matters.

Responsibilities

Address and resolve workplace conflicts between employees and/or management
Conduct thorough, impartial investigations into complaints, grievances, and employee relations issues
Prepare findings and recommend appropriate actions, including corrective or disciplinary measures
Mediate disputes to promote constructive and timely resolution
Remain current on federal and state employment laws and regulations (including ADA, Civil Rights Act, FMLA, FLSA)
Support the development, implementation, and interpretation of HR policies and employee handbooks
Partner with HR and Legal teams to ensure compliance and consistent policy application
Provide coaching and consultation to managers on performance management, corrective action, counseling, and terminations
Serve as a resource for employees seeking support on workplace concerns, policies, and available services
Assist leaders in addressing behavioral, performance, and communication issues
Design and support programs that strengthen a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace culture
Develop initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention
Facilitate training on topics such as conflict resolution, harassment prevention, discrimination, employment law, and effective management practices
Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
Maintain accurate, secure, and confidential records related to employee relations activities and investigations
Prepare reports and summaries on trends, findings, and key metrics for leadership review

Required

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in employee relations or a related HR role
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration, or a related discipline
Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws
Demonstrated experience conducting investigations and managing conflict resolution

Preferred

Master's degree or HR certification (SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or similar)
