Fall 2026 Co-Op Hematology Translational Development

Responsibilities
Integrate multimodal myeloid continuum of diseases data (genomics, RNA expression analysis, proteomic, cytokine, epigenetic, clinical outcome) to generate insights into disease understanding and patient segments relevant for BMS drug development
Actively contributes to experimental design and execution of a translational project, which is aligned with the Hematology Translational Development
Participating in BMS student internship requirements
Through literature/data review to understand project context, impact and timely communication of data
Present internship project to the Translational Medicine group at the conclusion of the internship
Qualification
Required
Current student majoring in field related to biomedical sciences (cellular and molecular biology, cancer, computational biology)
Understanding of myeloid and erythroid diseases, mechanisms of resistance to current standard of care therapy and drivers of lineage specificity
Computational biology background/experience or degree is a prerequisite
Availability for full-time employment (40hrs/week) throughout the co-op period (July through December 2026) while attending/enrolled in an academic program
Interpersonal and collaboration skills, including the willingness and ability to foster working relationships with a range of stakeholders and work independently. Flexible to changing priorities
All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and for the duration of their employment. Please note that visa sponsorship, including for student or temporary work authorization programs, is not available for this role. Candidates must have work authorization that does not require sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred
Prior experience in modeling data integration data (e.g. transcriptomic, genomic and proteomic)
