Responsibilities
Write, review, and edit DoD-style proposal content (technical, management, past performance, and executive summaries)
Develop and manage CDRL deliverables in accordance with DD Form 1423, SOW/SOO/PWS, and applicable DIDs
Ensure strict RFP and Section L/M compliance , including formatting, instructions, and evaluation criteria
Translate complex technical and engineering concepts into clear, concise, evaluator-focused documentation
Coordinate with engineers, program managers, and SMEs to collect, integrate, and refine technical inputs
Maintain proposal compliance matrices and support color team reviews to ensure quality and compliance
Manage document versions, schedules, and milestones to support on-time proposal and contract deliverable submissions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
3–7+ years of experience supporting DoD or federal government contracts as a technical writer
U.S. Citizen
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
Demonstrated experience with DoD proposals (RFPs, RFIs, RFQs)
CDRLs and DD Form 1423
Data Item Descriptions (DIDs)
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word (styles, templates, TOCs) and Microsoft Office Suite
Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
Active DoD Security Clearance Preferred
On-Site in OKC Required
NO VISA SUPPORT or C2C
Preferred
Active DoD security clearance
Experience with FAR/DFARS-driven documentation
Familiarity with Shipley or similar proposal methodologies
Background supporting engineering, systems, or defense programs
Experience working as a Government Contractor
Experience using SharePoint, proposal automation tools, or document management systems
