Manager Product Management

The Manager, Product Management is responsible for overseeing product design and features for deposit products, maximizing product profitability, and managing the deposit portfolio projection model while collaborating with various departments to meet business objectives.

Responsibilities
Conduct regular research to 1) benchmark Delta Community’s pricing and product features against primary competitors’; 2) identify members’ product preferences along with their satisfaction with our current offerings; and/or 3) stay on top of emerging trends and technologies that affect our competitive position and/or member satisfaction, 4) share findings and develop response strategies
Partner with Information Management & Analytics and Finance on the ongoing development of a product profitability model that allows us to better track and understand the primary revenue and expense drivers of our transactional and savings products. Analyze reporting to ensure we are both covering our operational costs and delivering optimal value to members. Help ensure feature and functionality that have lower usage rates are priced at a higher margin or discontinued in order to invest in new conveniences
Recommend new products or product enhancements that will keep Delta Community’s deposit products competitive and profitable
Perform detailed modeling and/or analysis of product penetration levels and on product profitability
Manage overall deposit portfolio
Support at all stages of product development/enhancement, providing feedback and metrics where applicable
Complete the required technical documents necessary to initiate new projects or initiatives that are generated
Assist in recommending rates for deposit products each month
Facilitate & lead required meetings
Ensure business requirements are clearly defined
Facilitate communication between business stakeholders
Clarify business criteria, processes and requirements
Communicate updates to the scope, complexity and effort requirements to VP-Product Management Development
Facilitate iterative requirements review and updates
Work with vendors, as required
Lead, coach and mentor the Product Analytics Specialist
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a Business or related field of study
3+ years' experience with analysis of complex data sets related to the financial services industry, health services industry, manufacturing industry or any other significant employment sector that uses large and complex sets of data to guide significant and impactful business decisions
Strong problem solving, technical, analytical, mathematical, organizational, decision making and administrative skills and be capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Visio, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
Ability to influence and partner across functions and all levels within a matrix organization
Experience overseeing budgeting for a line of business
Experience with financial analysis and modeling (ROI/Financial Modeling)
Highly effective presentation skills, including strong oral and written communication skills
Strong quantitative/analytical skills
Applies knowledge of credit union systems, policies and procedures
Possess leadership abilities to manage, train and coach Product Analytics Specialist
Successful candidate should possess the following competencies: Strategic and Analytical Thinking, Creativity and Innovation, Decision Making, Interactive Communications, Relationship Building, Results Management
Complies with all Credit Union policies and procedures including those related to Bank Secrecy Act regulations
Preferred
Master's degree in Business or related field of study
2+ years' experience working in credit union or financial services industry
Building detailed cost and analytical models using complex data sets
Analytical and marketing experience
Direct experience in financial institution product management
Overall knowledge of Delta Community Credit Union procedures and policies, including working with core systems such as Symitar
