Responsibilities
Design custom transformers and magnetic components to meet electrical, mechanical, and thermal requirements
Translate customer requirements into materials selection, construction, and performance specifications
Develop prototype and production documentation, including coil winding instructions, bills of material, assembly instructions, and engineering drawings
Review and approve design changes, test procedures, and results to ensure compliance with specifications
Provide technical support to Manufacturing and Quality Assurance
Mentor or guide junior engineers
Contribute to proprietary designs and long-term product strategy
Occasionally travel to customer sites for technical support or inspections
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field
7 to 8 years of experience in transformer or magnetic component design
Strong knowledge of magnetic and dielectric materials, heat transfer, and manufacturing practices
Skilled in coil winding, assembly processes, bills of material, and specification change notices (SCNs)
Proficiency with design software and databases
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred
On-site preferred, but remote work is available for the right candidate
