Inventory Control Lead

Responsibilities
Coordinates with warehouse supervisor to identify logistics team resources necessary to conduct monthly cycle count based on stratification by part usage and stock levels
Plans, schedules, and manages the efficient movement of material between receiving, the warehouse, between buildings, and shipment of materials to customers
Sets guidelines to ensure inventory controls are in place to meet quality standards and production schedules
Defines storage strategies for incoming product and incoming programs to allow for sufficient space in the warehouse for safety, operational efficiency, and product safety considerations
Drive inventory goals from SIOP and Finance to achieve inventory targets and keep minimal amount of inventory
Conduct inventory reduction analysis to determine Excess and Obsolete (E&O) material and generate pick tickets for logistics to remove E&O material from inventory
Audits inventory levels to ensure availability of materials and prioritize inventory investigations
Troubleshoots and reconciles large discrepancies to ensure compliance of standards to ensure effective materials management and smooth logistics deployment
Interface directly with site leadership as required to report inventory metrics
Support the CORE team with continuous improvement at the site and within the warehouse for inventory related projects
Maintain 5S standards of a clean, organized work area
Coordinate continuous improvement activities and projects in the department
Lead department in actively supporting all EHS improvement programs (EHS and compliance training); track and report on department performance
Qualification
Required
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
Experience with SAP and MES systems for production and inventory operations
Background in inventory analysis and inventory control
Preferred
Experience adhering to environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools such as CORE, Lean Transformation, and/or Standard Work
