Responsibilities
The Staff level Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing and developing components, mechanisms, systems and finished products or equipment
They can technically lead a small team
They demonstrate advanced knowledge of Mechanical Engineering and its application in solving complex mechanical problems
They demonstrate advanced understanding of internal and external customer or business needs
They work independently and in a team to create designs of multiple components, systems or devices
They independently (and in a team) conduct testing and analyze and solve advanced technical problems
They apply advanced statistical techniques and utilize design of experiments, have in-depth experience, knowledge, and skills in own job family
They apply knowledge and skills to a wide range of standard and non-standard situations
They usually determine own work priorities and act as a resource for colleagues with less experience
