Head of Advisor Partnerships
Basic Capital is a fintech company disrupting America’s $1T retirement industry by building the mortgage for retirement. They are seeking a Head of Advisor Partnerships to build the advisor channel from the ground up and ensure Basic Capital becomes the preferred 401(k) platform for modern advisors.

Responsibilities
Design and lead Basic Capital’s advisor partnerships strategy from zero to scale
Define which advisor segments we win first and why
Build a repeatable channel motion that compounds over time
Identify top RIAs and plan advisors who align with the future of retirement
Build relationships, educate, and convert advisors into long-term partners
Represent Basic Capital with clarity, conviction, and credibility
Build playbooks, messaging, and education that make advisors confident selling Basic Capital
Turn a complex product into a story advisors can explain in 30 seconds
Partner with marketing and product to create advisor-facing materials and onboarding
Be the voice of the advisor back into product and operations
Identify what advisors need to recommend Basic Capital with confidence
Help shape roadmap priorities to improve advisor experience and channel conversion
Qualification
Required
Experience building partnerships, channels, or BD motions (especially in fintech or wealth)
Strong relationship-building and outbound skills
Ability to explain complex products clearly and credibly
Comfort working cross-functionally with product, ops, and marketing
High agency and willingness to build without a playbook
Preferred
Experience working with RIAs, plan advisors, or retirement distribution
Familiarity with 401(k) plans, recordkeepers, TPAs, or benefits ecosystems
Existing network in advisor / retirement communities
You have built a channel motion before and know what 'good' looks like
