The Director of Sales will drive new brand partnerships across the league’s national and local ecosystems, focusing on integrated sponsorships and building a strong pipeline of partners tied to SFC events.

Responsibilities

Prospect, pitch, and close national, regional, and local brand partners across SFC’s full media and event ecosystem
Sell integrated sponsorships across linear broadcast, digital/streaming, social, and on-site assets
Develop and manage a robust pipeline of new business opportunities
Build custom partnership strategies aligned with each brand’s marketing objectives
Activate local and regional partnerships around SFC events and host markets
Own the full sales cycle—from outreach and proposal through negotiation and close
Prospecting new brand partners (national, regional, local)
Outreach, meetings, pitching, presenting
Negotiation and closing
Advancing deals through the pipeline
Building tailored partnership packages
Collaborating with marketing/content on decks and concepts
Pricing and structuring multi-platform programs
Identifying and engaging brands in SFC host markets
Pre-event outreach and in-market selling
On-site relationship building during SFC events
Pipeline management
Weekly forecasting and CRO check-ins
Tracking category coverage and targets
Cross-functional meetings
Product development input
League growth planning

Qualification

Required

8+ years of experience in national sports, media, or brand partnership sales
Demonstrated ability to close six- and seven-figure deals
Strong network within brand, agency, or media ecosystems
Entrepreneurial mindset with a hunter mentality
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Must be based in and work on-site at SFC Headquarters in Fort Worth, TX

Preferred

Exceptional leadership and team-building abilities, with experience managing cross-functional teams in fast-paced, high-stakes environments
Strategic thinker with analytical acumen; proficiency in tools like Salesforce, Google Analytics, or partnership management platforms
Outstanding communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing diverse audiences from junior staff to executive clients
Collaborative problem-solver who thrives on innovation and can balance creative vision with operational execution
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 30%) for client meetings, activations, and league events; flexibility for non-standard hours during peak seasons
Passion for sports and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in partnership strategies
