Responsibilities
Lead all field operations and perform the full scope of superintendent responsibilities on active construction projects
Enforce company and project-specific safety procedures, ensuring full compliance with OSHA and HCAI requirements
Participate in all required safety training programs and promote a culture of safety on the jobsite
Verify subcontractor insurance certificates and ensure all required documentation is current and compliant
Develop, maintain, and manage the project’s CPM schedule, coordinating closely with project management and trade partners
Build strong working relationships with Owners, Architects, and Consultants, fostering trust and confidence in project execution
Recruit, organize, train, and supervise field personnel, including subcontractors and direct-hire labor
Establish and uphold high standards for quality control; ensure all work meets contract documents and industry best practices
Manage procurement of materials, equipment, and tools while avoiding reactive or “crisis” purchasing
Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, time sheets, work orders, and invoice approvals
Oversee and complete all punchlist items promptly and thoroughly
Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and subcontractor submittals to ensure proper installation and sequencing
Lead or participate in pre-construction meetings, subcontractor coordination meetings, and other required project discussions
Manage system start-up, testing, commissioning, and final turnover to the Owner
Complete project close-out documentation and support Owner acceptance
Perform manual labor only in exceptional circumstances where immediate action is required and no other reasonable option exists
Travel as required by management to support project needs
Oversee multiple projects across a broad geographic area when assigned
Perform additional duties as required to support successful project delivery
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated experience delivering Healthcare (HCAI/OSHPD) projects exceeding $50M in value
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent professional experience
Minimum 8 years of field supervisory experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction
Strong working knowledge of all construction trades, with the ability to read and interpret specifications and technical documents
Thorough understanding of OSHA regulations and jobsite safety requirements
Proficiency in project scheduling, planning, logistics, expediting, and cost control
Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
High sense of urgency, accountability, and commitment to delivering high‑quality work
Preferred
Prior hands-on experience as a foreman, journeyman, or project engineer
