Responsibilities
Prepares monthly billings and submit to all funders in a timely manner
Prepares monthly journal entries, analyzes and reconciles assigned general ledger accounts. Entries may relate to prepaid expenses, expense accruals, revenue recognition, and payroll
Manage grant accounting for federal, state, and private funds, ensuring accurate budgeting, cost allocation, compliance, and timely financial reporting
Completes monthly bank reconciliations
Preparing periodic financial statements including month-end and year-end closing, and related workpapers
Working closely with the CFO in developing initiatives, policies, and controls to comply with financial guidelines and regulations, and improve financial growth of the company
Analyzing accounting issues, researching related authoritative literature and documenting appropriate accounting treatment
Performing other tasks and assignments as required
Qualification
Required
5 years of general accounting experience
Preferred
NetSuite highly preferred
