Human Resources Generalist
FirstService Residential has an exciting opportunity for a career-minded human resources professional. The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for various HR functions including recruiting, training, payroll, and employee relations, while supporting the company's growth and compliance efforts.

Responsibilities
Assists in developing HR and Company solutions, programs, and policies
Provides day-to-day performance management guidance (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of associates, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance
Works closely with HR team, management, and associates to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention
Assists with associate day to day inquires
Recommends action regarding promoting, coaching, disciplining or terminating associates
Maintains HRIS system
Assists with FMLA and disability. Liaison with corporate benefits shared service center, specifically when it comes to payroll, timecards, and payments
Assists with payroll including creation of bi-weekly payroll batches that includes compensation adjustments, additional earnings, bonuses, commissions, timecard adjustments
Reviews timecards and send necessary reminders to stakeholders and adjust when necessary
Processes compensation adjustments in ADP for off cycle increases, promotions, and transfers
Maintains employee referral program and process referral payments
Monitors and tracks student progress and analyze/measure the effectiveness of courses
Maintains HRIS system with employee changes ie. title changes, department change, and etc
Processes terminations including ADP changes and IT tickets
Conducts exit interviews and report trends
Processes transfers and promotions in IT
Assists with transfer and promotion communications
Administers company online learning platform; includes setting up new students, participating in monthly meetings and communicating with company on updates and progress
Assists in the development and maintenance of company training programs
Helps implement and rollout new online training courses and programs
Creates feedback evaluations for in-person training sessions. Summarizes and analyzes findings. Analyzes feedback from students, identify gaps and implement this feedback in the design of future training programs
Creates training certificates for students
Responsible for company compliance training
Responsible for building employee anti-sexual harassment compliance training
Assists in the maintenance of employee personnel files for both active and terminated employees
Communicates professionally, tactfully, and with the utmost diplomacy at all times, treating all candidates with dignity and respect. Maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times
Liaison with corporate shared services team on payroll, benefits, HRIS
Assists with recruiting efforts when necessary
Assists in rolling out corporate initiatives to New York Market
Assists with onboarding of associates from acquired companies
Assists on special projects and company events
Qualification
Required
+ Bachelor's Degree Required
+ A high level of energy and a strong bias to service excellence and getting things done with a sense of urgency
+ Possesses personal and professional integrity
+ Excellent interpersonal skills; can build and maintain effective working relationships. Controlled under pressure, can communicate confidently with all levels in the organization and can juggle conflicting priorities with ease
+ Able to work independently and be a team player
+ Well-organized, efficient and has a good sense of priorities
+ Strong working knowledge of general employment practices, with addition experience in employee recruitment and selection
+ Diligent and motivated
+ Strong analytical skills
+ A self-starter who leads by example and who is respected by all levels of employees
+ Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive issues
Preferred
. Preferred in Human Resources Management or equivalent field
+ 2-3 years of Recruiting and/or HR experience with an organization of at least 400 employees preferred
+ Experience with an ATS system and ADP preferred
