Responsibilities
The Associate Director of Fiscal Operations at the PET Center, reporting to the Director, will provide leadership and direction over fiscal and administrative operations for PET Center. The PET Center is in part university core facility and in part a multidimensional group comprised of chemistry/cyclotron facility, physics/instrumentation, and Nuclear Medicine Imaging and Therapy (NMIT) CRU at the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine (PSOM) and currently maintains over 15 faculty investigators and a clinical research staff unit representing a complex matrix organization overseeing clinical and translational research in nuclear medicine. The Associate Director is responsible for helping to implement both short and long-term strategic financial and administrative planning and fiscal policy development for PET Center and to ensure financial and administrative management of core resources and equipment. Fiscal responsibilities, for this highly complex organization includes, but are not limited to, directing and managing of general financial administration for the center, sponsored research program management and reporting, clinical trial budget negotiations, billing, invoicing for clinical trial and grant charges. This position is responsible for the financial management of THE PET CENTER including, preparation and monitoring of total annual operating budgets, reporting and forecasting revenue and expenses, accounting, purchasing, facilities and common equipment budgets and general administration. Annual operating budget of 4.5M$ from NIH, Foundation, Pharmaceutical, Biotech, gifts and endowment funding
The program is complex, as it includes both traditional basic science grants management as well as creation and management of complex combined clinical and research budgets, and the coordination of these budgets with the implementation of patient care in a clinical and research setting. This person will work closely with the center director (Mark Sellmyer) and associate director of clinical research (Erin Schubert)

Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts, and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
