Administrative Judicial Legal Assistant

The California Department of Industrial Relations is seeking an Administrative Judicial Legal Assistant to provide clerical support for Workers' Compensation Judges. The role involves preparing and servicing various legal documents and maintaining records within the Electronic Adjudication Management System.

Responsibilities

Provides clerical support for Workers' Compensation Judges including the preparation and service of orders, correspondence, reports, decisions and awards
Reserving and completing tasks within the Electronic Adjudication Management System (EAMS) involving the processing of both incoming and outgoing documents
Assists the WCJ in maintaining EAMS records and assisting parties and the public with inquiries

Qualification

Microsoft OfficeTyping CertificateEAMS proficiencyEnglish proficiencyJudgmentEffective communicationTime managementTeamwork

Required

Proficient with Microsoft Office products including, Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point
Typing Certificate of 45 words per minute
Ability to read and write English at a level required for successful job performance
Establish and maintain effective working relationships
Communicate effectively
Follow directions
Analyze situations and take effective action using good judgment in decision making
Manage time and resources effectively
Be responsive to management needs
