Responsibilities

Own WiFi, 5G and other wireless subsystems from the hardware perspective
Design, select and integrate antennas into the robot, ensuring proper specs and performance are achieved
Validate OTA performance via field testing and throughput testing
Define factory test specifications, contribute to failure analysis and ensure test coverage is sufficient
Interpret electronic component datasheets to select parts based on performance, cost, and availability
Collaborate with mechanical and firmware teams to ensure system-level integration and functionality

Qualification

RF design skillsAntenna theoryLab equipment proficiencyEmbedded systems experiencePCB layout toolsConsumer electronics experienceSoldering PCB componentsDebugging skills

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
Strong understanding of RF fundamentals, including antenna theory, transmission lines and key RF system level specifications (transmit power, sensitivity, desense, EVM, etc)
Proficiency with lab equipment such as VNAs, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers
Ability to solder PCB components as needed
Debug, characterize, and optimize across thermal, EMI, and signal-integrity domains
Able to work full-time on-site

Preferred

Consumer electronics experience
Experience with embedded systems and firmware fundamentals
Experience with PCB layout tools such as Altium
