The role involves managing a centralized global infrastructure team, overseeing day-to-day operations, and leading the transition to a hybrid Azure cloud model while supporting manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities
Build a new centralised global infrastructure team
Define and implement KPIs, uptime metrics and reporting across all sites
Provide a single global operational view of infrastructure and manufacturing systems
Oversee day-to-day infrastructure operations (servers, networks, storage, data centres)
Ensure patching and end-of-life upgrades are completed
Lead migration planning and execution of suitable workloads from Nutanix/on-prem to Azure
Design and manage hybrid architecture where Azure is deployed both in cloud and on-site
Support factory/edge environments requiring near-zero latency next to machines and robots
Manage global teams 'around the sun'
Drive organisational transformation and scaling
Qualification
Required
Experience managing global infrastructure and globally distributed teams
Experience with both: Nutanix (current primary platform)
Experience with both: Microsoft Azure (cloud and on-site/hybrid)
Experience designing and executing cloud migration from on-prem to Azure
Experience operating hybrid environments where some workloads must remain on-prem
Experience in manufacturing IT environments (edge/low latency factory systems)
Experience building and restructuring teams and operating models
Experience creating KPIs and operational reporting for infrastructure
