Responsibilities
Manage all third-party mortgage vendors, including but not limited to appraisals, title, escrow, credit, flood, VOE/VOI, compliance, technology, and other ancillary services
Lead vendor onboarding, due diligence, and ongoing monitoring in accordance with regulatory and company standards
Review and negotiate vendor contracts, pricing, SLAs, and renewals
Ensure vendor compliance with federal, state, investor, and company policies (including RESPA, TRID, and data security requirements)
Perform vendor risk assessments, audits, and performance reviews
Monitor vendor KPIs, turnaround times, quality metrics, and cost effectiveness
Act as the primary point of contact between vendors and internal stakeholders
Resolve vendor-related issues, escalations, and service disruptions
Partner with Compliance, Operations, IT, and Executive Leadership to support business initiatives
Maintain vendor documentation, certifications, and reporting
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance vendor performance
Qualification
Required
Experience in vendor management, particularly in mortgage operations
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements related to vendor management
Ability to lead vendor onboarding, due diligence, and ongoing monitoring
Experience in reviewing and negotiating vendor contracts, pricing, SLAs, and renewals
Knowledge of federal, state, investor, and company policies including RESPA, TRID, and data security requirements
Experience in performing vendor risk assessments, audits, and performance reviews
Ability to monitor vendor KPIs, turnaround times, quality metrics, and cost effectiveness
Strong communication skills to act as the primary point of contact between vendors and internal stakeholders
Problem-solving skills to resolve vendor-related issues, escalations, and service disruptions
Ability to partner with Compliance, Operations, IT, and Executive Leadership to support business initiatives
Experience in maintaining vendor documentation, certifications, and reporting
Ability to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance vendor performance
