Responsibilities
Handling all phases of litigation from intake through resolution or trial
Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents
Conducting legal research and analysis
Taking and defending depositions
Attending court conferences, hearings, mediations, and arbitrations
Communicating with clients, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel
Collaborating with partners on litigation strategy
Qualification
Required
Active license to practice law in New York (required)
Minimum of 4 years' experience handling NYS Labor Law Sections 240/241 and general liability matters
Strong background in civil defense litigation, including pleadings, motions, depositions, and discovery
Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
Ability to independently manage deadlines and case strategy
Strong organizational and communication skills
Preferred
Experience in mediation, arbitration, or trial is a plus
Dual licensure in PA, NJ, or another jurisdiction is a plus
