Responsibilities
Design and develop electrical systems and components, focusing on magnetic components such as transformers, inductors, and reactors
Use computer-assisted engineering and design software to perform engineering tasks
Prepare price quotations involving interaction with customers/prospects to understand the application, generating a core and coil design, pricing materials, and creating labor estimates
Oversee Test Department including the development of Test Setups, training of personnel and directing daily activities
Research and test manufacturing and assembly methods and materials
Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations to maintenance crew
Deep knowledge of electrical engineering codes and safety standards
Solid understanding of the fundamentals of Electricity and Magnetism
Proficiency in CAD and other engineering design software
Experience as part of a 'pitch team'. The Senior Engineer will participate in prospect and client meetings as a part of a 'team sales' effort
