Responsibilities
Build sequencing module prototypes. Recommend design feedback to improve assembly
Plan, execute, analyze and document hands-on laboratory testing of next generation sensor module fluidic interfaces, including flow visualization, leak and pressure testing
Review plans and communicate results in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
Recommend technical solutions and improvements to a state-of-the art sensor module to support DNA sequencing
Qualification
Required
Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree (enrolled student)
Must have attained a Bachelor's Degree (not currently enrolled in a graduate program)
Must be pursuing a Master's Degree (enrolled student)
Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
On-site, hands-on lab testing in a laboratory environment
Able to clearly present results and conclusions to a technical audience
Able to integrate and function in a team-oriented environment
Able to plan, set up, execute, analyze and document laboratory testing
Preferred
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills

Coursework and demonstrated interest in mechanical design, structural and fluidics simulation and design
Ability to set up, run and analyze simulations using finite element analysis tools
