Take ownership of project related tasks and be on point until completion
Collaborate with Solution Architects and technology groups to design, develop, and maintain software solutions
Perform code reviews
Qualification
Required
Recently Cloudera and Hadoop required - Not looking cloud or database engineers
Cloudera CDP Hadoop Administration with strong background in Unix and Infrastructure
Spark, Python, PySpark
Hive, Impala
Ozone
Required Education: Bachelors +
7+ years of hands-on experience in software development with 2+ years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering
Strong understanding of Java or Python
Collaborate with Solution Architects and technology groups to design, develop, and maintain software solutions
Experience working on Agile teams
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Deal Breaker Items: Lack of experience in large Hadoop environments
Preferred
Strong background in SQL
5+ experience in Hadoop, Cloudera is a plus
Strong experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting
