Sap Human Resources Consultant
The United States Postal Service is seeking an SAP Human Resources Consultant to lead SAP module configuration projects. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing changes to meet business needs and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure effective SAP solutions are delivered.
Responsibilities
Implements data and function mapping changes, configuration tables, process flows and sets transaction control/tables to build SAP solutions that address business needs and align with organizational strategies
Collaborates with business stakeholders to intake business requirements. Translates and documents business requirements into system requirements. Provides technical assistance and guidance to internal stakeholders on features, configurations, and processes supported by the SAP functional application
Evaluates business requirements to identify and develop functional specifications required to implement system changes. Develops specifications, testing plans, and prototypes to evaluate system change functionality and confirm changes address business needs
Partners with Developers to coordinate changes required to business systems. Reviews and evaluates work of Developers to maintain the quality of products delivered
Identifies deficiencies and/or defects in business systems through the comprehensive investigation of incident tickets submitted by business stakeholders and develops and implements plans to resolve business system issues
Collaborates with global SAP support team and business stakeholders to coordinate the implementation of system changes in accordance with software development lifecycle (SDLC), change management standards, and industry best practices
Manages project plans to support SAP software and database management projects and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) with a scrum/agile methodology
Coordinates with HR security to design, develop, modify, and implement system access controls, including authorizations, data interface design, and user documentation, to ensure that HR systems are secure
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of information technology security concepts, principles, practices, and techniques, including related laws, regulations, and USPS and government policies
Knowledge of Systems, Applications, and Processes (SAP) software and functional applications, and business environments sufficient to configure SAP systems
Ability to design data interface, data migration, and data reconciliation procedures
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex, unique technical problems, determine root cause, and implement corrective measures to mitigate reoccurrences
Knowledge of project management at a level sufficient to support the development of project plans and milestones and monitor progress against established goals
Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and agile development methodologies, processes, standards, and techniques sufficient to design, build and test Human Resources information systems both on-premises and Software as a Service (SaaS)
Ability to develop functional specifications, prototypes, mapping, configuration tables, process flows, and transaction/control tables
Ability to communicate orally and in writing sufficient to instruct and provide technical guidance to others regarding programs, processes, testing, validation and configurations
Ability to create and provide governance on implementation architecture, design principles, and data management to maintain alignment with internal and external policies and organizational strategies
