Responsibilities

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field

8 + overall experience and 4+ years of experience in IBM MQ design, implementation, and administration in enterprise environments

Proven experience in designing and delivering large-scale systems

Deep expertise in IBM MQ architecture and administration, including experience with MQ clustering, message routing, and persistent queues

Experience with integrating IBM MQ with other enterprise on premise and cloud systems

Proficiency in troubleshooting MQ issues, including performance bottlenecks, connection problems, and message delivery failures

Strong understanding of messaging patterns (e.g., point-to-point, publish/subscribe) and how to optimize for different workloads

Experience with security configurations in IBM MQ, including SSL/TLS encryption, authentication, and access controls

Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, IBM) and how to integrate IBM MQ with cloud-native architectures

Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, BitBucket)

Strong communication skills to engage with cross-functional teams and provide thought leadership
