Summer Internship – Internal Audit Intern

InternKrispy Kreme is a beloved sweet treat brand headquartered in Charlotte, N.C., and they are seeking an Internal Audit Intern for a 10-week summer program. The intern will gain hands-on experience by shadowing business processes, updating documentation, assisting with internal controls testing, and collaborating on a group project.

Responsibilities
Shadow business process walkthrough meetings
Update process and controls documentation, including narratives and flowcharts
Prepare and organize audit documentation requests
Assist with internal controls testing for both design and operating effectiveness
Select and prepare samples and population workbooks for testing
Review and document audit evidence for completeness and accuracy
Maintain and track audit issues and remediation progress
Create software how-to guide or onboarding guide for new Internal Audit team members
Qualification
Required
Recent or current undergrad/grad students who have or will graduate between May 2025 - May 2027
Holds a recent degree or pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, software development, or similar areas of study
Strong knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc
Has intellectual curiosity, is passionate about learning, and ready to take on new opportunities
Strong communication skills (written & oral) with attention to detail
Ability to engage and work with cross-functional partners across the organization
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, shift priorities, and work under tight timelines
Ability to efficiently work in an office environment
