Assume MDS responsibility for a caseload to of post-acute patients and long term residents; scheduling; completing and coordinating completion of the MDS and RAI process
Issue Notices of Medicare Non Coverage and Detailed Notices and SNF ABNs
Determine if patients meet Medicare coverage eligibility on admission and monitor for ongoing coverage during patient/resident stays
Work with IDT to insure best practice & compliance in RAI process
Qualification
Required

3-5 years recent experience as an MDS Coordinator at a minimum
Proficiency in current MDS coding rules and Medicare coverage regulations
Valid License and currently registered as a professional RN in NYS
Preferred
RAC-CT AANAC accreditation
