Responsibilities
Lead enterprise-scale application migration and modernization initiatives from legacy/on-premises systems to Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Define and execute cloud architecture strategies that deliver scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud-native solutions
Collaborate closely with engineering teams and business stakeholders, acting as a key technical advisor and customer-facing cloud SME
Qualification
Required
15+ years overall IT experience with strong application/solution architecture, migration projects, and enterprise delivery
Proven experience in migrating and modernizing enterprise applications to Google Cloud (GCP)
Deep hands-on experience in cloud architecture domains including cloud computing, distributed systems, and enterprise IT strategy
4+ years of hands-on application architecture and design experience spanning software development and cloud platforms
2+ years of architecting and operating complex cloud solutions on GCP
2+ years in customer/client-facing technical roles with presentations to executive audiences
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Google Professional Cloud Architect certification is required
Expert in GCP architecture & migration patterns
Strong coding expertise in Java and C#
Proficiency with GitHub workflows, pull requests, branching, and collaboration
Deep experience with Apigee API Management
Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation, and DevOps practices
Practical experience with container technologies: Cloud Run, GKE
Expertise in IAM, encryption, load balancing, networking (VPC, Cloud Interconnect)
Excellent communication skills for both technical and executive audiences
