Program Coordinator, Medicaid Advisory Unit

The University of Illinois Chicago is seeking a Program Coordinator to join the Medicaid Advisory Unit in the College of Medicine’s Department of Medicine. The Program Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the Director and Business Manager, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Medicaid Advisory Unit.

Responsibilities

Provides executive administrative support to the Medicaid Advisory Unit Director and Business Manager, as well as affiliated faculty and clinician consultants
Assists in the planning, development, coordination, and implementation of the Medicaid Advisory Unit meetings, conferences, and other engagements
Maintains an overview of departmental responsibilities and deadlines, updates, and evaluates departmental policies and operational procedures
Serves as a liaison between departments and both internal and external partners
Completes the final copy of communications and documents for executives/administrators (reviews for appropriate spelling, punctuation, syntax, formats, and modifies as needed); drafts communications for the MAU team and distributes as directed
Manages day-to-day team operations. Assist in Interview and Meeting preparation/scheduling, orientations, and evaluate staff to meet departmental and organizational needs
Organizes meetings and conferences and prepares and distributes materials for conferences and other engagements

Required

Bachelor's degree
A total of one (1) year (12 months) Operational or Administrative Support Experience

Preferred

Master's Degree in a Health related field (MPH, MHA, MPP, MSW)
Ability to work independently and exercise judgment; demonstrated ability to analyze and investigate a variety of questions or problems
Previous experience in care coordination or utilization management in a healthcare organization
Experience with Asana or equivalent project management tools a plus
